The Project hosts a number of previously mined open pits and smaller underground workings. Of particular interest to Integra is the Fingals / Baguss mining area where gold deposits occur along flat-lying, sheared contacts of intercalated felsic and mafic volcanic rocks on the west limb of the Bulong Anticline.
Geological interpretation from historical drilling at the Fingals open cut gold deposit has identified four target areas for evaluation.
An initial ten hole RC drill program was completed to test these targets. Results from this initial RC program were encouraging with better intercepts reported including:
-
2 m @ 10.73 g/t gold from 51 m and 4 m@ 6.95 g/t gold from 95 metres in drill hole FIRC003;
-
3 m @ 12.88 g/t gold from 73 m in drill hole FIRC006; and
-
3 m @ 7.86 g/t gold from 110 m in drill hole FIRC007.
A large 8,000 station gravity survey is approximately 60% complete through the Mt Monger / Red Dale / Lucky Bay corridor. The survey is expected to provide an important base data set to assist with interpretations of the geologic architecture of this prolific and well mineralised gold camp. Integra expects to have a long-term presence in this region and it is particularly intriguing that while there has been a substantial production history from both open pits and highgrade underground operations, there has not been a major gold discovery in the area to date.
