Salt Creek

Exploration by Integra in 2007 produced an exciting grassroots discovery at Salt Creek, where multiple gold mineralised zones have subsequently been identified over a strike length of 1000 metres.  The mineralization has excellent continuity with much of it lying at shallower than 100 metres true depth.

Gold mineralization is hosted in shallow to steeply dipping zones within a sequence of differentiated gabbro with a number of phases of porphyry intrusions also noted.  Gold mineralization is associated with disseminated pyrrhotite sulphide and is expressed as broad zones of mineralization with a gentle to moderate south plunge.

Salt Creek includes a maiden gold resource of 4.6 million tonnes at 2.7 g/t for 400,000 ounces of contained gold and was announced as part of the recent resource upgrade (see ASX release 10 January 2008) and (ASX release 26 June 2008).

Significantly, ongoing drilling has returned wide, high-grade results, including:

  • 51m @ 7.63 g/t gold;
  • 21m @ 3.72 g/t gold;
  • 36m @ 3.33 g/t gold;
  • 11m @ 4.37 g/t gold;
  • 23m @ 4.62 g/t gold;
  • 58m @ 3.96 g/t gold;
  • 31m @ 2.63 g/t gold;
  • 52m @ 4.58 g/t gold;
  • 34m @ 3.42 g/t gold;
  • 40m @ 7.00 g/t gold;
  • 62m @ 2.38 g/t gold;
  • 37m @ 4.59 g/t gold; and
  • 55m @ 3.39 g/t gold.

The Salt Creek gold discovery remains at an early stage of evaluation and Integra is confident that there remains very significant upside to extend the known mineralisation.
